| Madziva Mana
(“Four Pools”), a marimba/vocal quartet from Boulder, CO, USA, features
Leslie Ratica, Heather Doty, Donna Lyle and Elynne
Hering.
These
talented women began playing together in 2007 as students in a
musicianship class at Kutandara Center. The
‘Pools’
perform
a mix of traditional and modern songs composed and/or arranged by both
Zimbabwean and Western artists, and African folk tales complemented by
music. Madziva Mana has most recently performed for
elementary
schools and private parties in Boulder and Estes Park; church
services in Loveland and Boulder; the Boulder
Farmers' Market; ZimFest
2009; Taste
of Colorado 2009; and Boulder
Public Library's Make A Splash Second Sunday Storyteller Series.
